WHY I AM RUNNING
Put simply, I love the Chelsea community and want to help make it better. My family and I were welcomed to the area when we moved here and I want to serve this community as a member of the school board.
Education has always been an important aspect of my life and I recognize the foundational role it plays in the lives of our children. I want to see my children and all the children in our community given an opportunity for a sound educational foundation.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Macon, GA, where I lived my parents and brother. I grew up in a family where education was important and watched the challenges my mother faced as a public-school teacher for 30 years. After graduating from high school, I earned a bachelors degree in Geography from the US Military Academy at West Point. I served in the Army for 6 years as an Armor officer including three overseas deployments once to Kosovo and twice to Iraq.
Since leaving active duty, I have had various product management and marketing roles within the mining and construction industry. I have managed multimillion-dollar product portfolios which provides me with fiscal experience needed as a board member.
I have been married to my lovely wife, Lacey, for almost 15 years. We live in Sylvan Twp with our three boys (10, 8, and 3). Our oldest two sons have been enrolled in Chelsea schools.

QUALITY EDUCATION FOR ALL
All the children in our community deserve to have access to a sound education that provides them with the foundation they will need as they head out into the world. As a school board member, I will work to ensure that we are setting the right goals and direction for the district and that the district is meeting those commitments.
FISCAL STEWARDSHIP
Taxpayers in the community entrust the school board to use wisely the funding that they provide. As a school board member, I will work to be a good steward of your taxpayer dollars.
PROVIDING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT
Safety has to be the #1 priority of the district. We cannot expect to be successful in our educational goals if there is not a safe and welcoming environment for our children to learn. I will work to ensure that the district continues to maintain a safe environment for students and staff through ever changing threats.
